Default Origins of the Female Assassin Dance

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capoeira

If I'm correct, that's what the female Assassin dance is. That's what it looks like to me.

Posting this 'cause I've seen people saying it's a dance from.. Superstar?.. that SNL-inspired movie.

Anyone believe otherwise?

There's a movie that features this style. "Only the Strong" was made mid 90's i believe. wasn't terrible. Check it out.

Early work of Mark Dacascos - great stuff. I remember seeing it in middle school.

No, that is not capoeira.

The female assasin dance is people might calls as "Skanking"

the first part of the female dance resembles dutch and belgian "hak" alot...if you place 2 females opposite of each other they do a dance really similar to what we made in school

I thought all the dances originated from some movie/video/play etc, it seems to be a theme the devs like to use.

Female Necro - Thriller music video
Male and Female Warrior - Pulp Fiction?
Male Ritualist - Napoleon Dynamite
Male Ele - the "Elaine" dance from Seinfeld
Mesmers - Riverdance

Can anyone think of any others?

Necro Dance: Looks like some thing you would find the host or guest from "headbangers ball" doing, mixed with a little Tom Cruise jumping at the end.

Guildies and I remember something from Shrek (gingerbread? can't remember) doing almost exactly the same dance as the female assassin.

Female assasin dance isn't skanking. Maybe for like 1 second it vaguely resembles it, but definitely not that.

Male warrior is taken from both Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction.

Also the mesmers aren't quite riverdancing.. but I'm guessing that's what the devs intended.

I say it wasn't terrible because I've seen movies like Super Mario Brothers and Double Dragon. Those movies are terrible. At least the fighting style was cool and different at the time when i first saw the movie.

female assassin taunting is like an insult towards ghetto people. its a "z-snap" that all of those "gangsta chicks" use. its hilarious.
